Monroe County Court of Common Pleas extends Emergency Order through June 30, 2021

As a friendly reminder, please note that our filing offices—namely, Prothonotary, Clerk of Court, and Orphans Court—are accepting emailed documents as original filings per this Court’s Emergency Administrative Order 92 AD 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, attached hereto for your convenience. This provision is in effect until June 30, 2021.
Accordingly, there is no need to follow a document filed by email document with a paper copy sent through traditional mail. Indeed, any traditionally mailed document received by our filing offices is still treated as an original filing and, thus, will create duplicate items on the docket if both mail and email are sent.
Finally, as we continue to roll out the new civil case management system, CTrack, we would like to remind all civil practitioners to timely file entries of appearance. CTrack is helping the Prothonotary’s Office automate tasks such as document distribution, however, CTrack can only act based on the information contained therein—specifically, attorney contact information.
