The Pennsylvania Department of State has received a temporary limited suspension of the Pennsylvania statute that requires the physical presence of notaries for all notarial acts relating to various documents essential to healthcare, incapacitation and end-of-life decisions. The Pennsylvania Bar Association advocated for remote notarization during the coronavirus emergency on behalf of its members and all Pennsylvania lawyers.
